WHERE ALL THE GREENS SLOPE TO THE PUB

Just a Wedge

Keeping It Casual

JUST A WEDGE

AND A PUTT
Irish Golf has been called the "Pickleball of Golf". It's a fun challenge for the experienced and a great introduction for beginners. Originally invented in Ireland in 1927, where the game was played with two clubs, over good conversation and several drinks. All holes are 50-75 yards, so bring your favorite wedge and putter or borrow two clubs from us. And if you work up a thirst out on the greens, stop on by the pub for some drinks!

“ A man with fourteen clubs is a man who doesn’t trust his own hands. A man with two is a man who knows exactly what he’s about.”
-Seamus Duff, 1927
West County Cork, Ireland
One spring Tuesday, on a rocky patch of land in west County Cork Ireland, Seamus Duff grabbed his old hickory putter and his rusted mashie-niblick, stuffed them into the waistband of his trousers and set out across the north pasture.
He decided that if he couldn't play eighteen holes with fourteen clubs, he’d play nine holes with two—and he’d do it while moving the herd.
Today we enjoy the game he began,
with the people who we love the most.
